The (Oregon) Statesman Journal has published a short bio of Lynn McDonald, a resident of Independence Air Park (subscription required). The story primarily highlights Lynn’s remote-control airplane passions, but does touch on his Avid Mark IV and Van’s RV-6. To read the complete story, click here.
If you find any stories of airparks and their residents in your local newspaper, post a note in the comment area so we can share it with everyone.

Thank you for your article about Mr. McDonald’s planes and flying. I would like to learn more about his airpark, do you think you will do a follow up story?
What is the airport’s identifier code? Is it called Independence Airpark?
How long has the airpark been around? How many residences, homes, hangars, etc.?
Thanks again,

Wes,
At this point we have no plans to write a follow up story. Independence Airpark (7S5) is in Independence, Oregon. You can learn more about it from their website, waltenspiel@sbcglobal.net. We also have additional information in the directory of airparks (Full Access subscription is required).
