Wanted: Photos and stories of the airpark lifestyle

The August issues of General Aviation News (our sister publication) will focus on living the residential airpark lifestyle. For those of you who are living the dream, do you have some great photos of your airpark or airpark home that you’d like to share? Any tips for those searching for an airpark home? What about a story or memory that sums up why airpark living is a perfect fit? For those of you searching for a home, which are your favorite airparks? What are the amenities that excite you?

Send your comments and photos to General Aviation News Editor Janice Wood. You can also add your comments below. Thanks!

A private airport in the Minnesota Lakes area. Hangar homes with ownership in the airport are available. We have a 3200′ runway. Hard surface. Two blocks from Breezy Point Resort on Pelican Lake. We have several hangar homes the on runway with memberships available.

As a hangar door manufacturer i am sure i can let people know about this that call us for hangar doors. I’ll pass the info on Janice.

An Airpark in South Carolina known as the middle of it all is Palmetto Air Plantation which has 27 lots sold and 18 lots remaining for sale. This is a grass strip well maintained runway lighted ready for your personal flying. Check out http://www.palmettoairplantation.com and see for yourself, you just may have found your dream area. Come visit, talk to the residences, and just see what all the talk is really about.

Sugar Springs Airpark (5M6) is located in mid-Michigan and offers a full array of amenities. The airpark has a well maintained 3500 ft grass runway. Property ownership gives you full access to an 18-hole championship golf course, two lakes with beach clubs, bath houses, and boats docks, a fitness center, indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, camp grounds and nature trails. The Airpark is designated as a public-use facility where pilots can fly-in and enjoy dinner at the full-service restaurant. The Airpark hosts an annual fly-in breakfast the third Saturday in August. Each year at the fly-in, a drawing is held where four lucky winners get rides in a hot air balloon.

WE can assist in your airpark article.
