My wife (Deb) and I just celebrated out 15th wedding anniversary. To honor the occasion, we returned to the island we honeymooned on in 1994. While on San Juan Island, we visited the home of Bill and Ardi Kelsey at Roche Harbor Skyway (profile – subscription required). Under construction, for nearly six years, Kelsey’s hope to finish this fall/winter so they can move in. To date, Bill’s Aerostar has spent more nights inside than the Kelsey’s.

The entire structure is roughly 6,000 square feet with about 2,200 feet dedicated for people living. The remainder is dedicated to aircraft and Bill’s aviation navigation aides business, Avcom. Following are a few pictures of the Kelsey’s home and the airpark. I hope will welcome us back so we can show the complete home, finished.

Do you have some hangar/homes you’d like to share with us, and your fellow Living With Your Plane readers? Send us a note.

The Kelsey's home on Roche Harbor Skyway totals roughly 6,000 square feet. Appropriately, the hangar takes up the majority of the size.

The living quarters are still under construction, but the view is done. The Kelsey's take advantage of the stunning southern view from their living room with wrap-around windows.
