I work for a bank and also serve on the local Airport Advisory Committee for the Hermiston Municipal Airport.

For the last couple of years, the city of Hermiston (Oregon) has been receptive to the idea of rezoning and selling a sizeable parcel of land adjacent to and immediately north of the airport for the purpose of creating a residential airpark.

To date, we have not been able to find a developer willing to tackle this project. I am not aware of other airparks in the southeast Washington and northeast Oregon area that would be as close to the sizeable metro area of the Tri-Cities (beyond Vantage and Dry Creek).

I wonder if any Living With Your Plane subscribers might be interested in moving this project off of dead center? Thanks.

  1. Hi Jeff,

I am an Associate Broker for RE/MAX 100, Inc. in Denver. I am also from Oregon and a graduate of the U of O. I just submitted my application to sell Real Estate in Oregon. We have recprocity with Oregon and since I am back and forth I would like to be able to sell in both.

I am a pilot and would love to take a look at the project you are proposing in Hemiston. I also happen to know some folks who may be interested in such a project as well.
email me or call me and lets take a look at it.

    Sincerely,
